These two teams hate each other. That was evident that last time aTm went to Lubbock when a fight broke out after the game. This year the game has been pushed back to 9pm!?!? Tech definetely took a step backwards if they want to prevent another riot. I guess their best answer to a Nazi cult like atmosphere in college station is a good ole fashioned soccer riot in west texas. Look for several short passes and tortillas to be seen in the air. Add some more flying debris since this game is at 9PM. With Tech's passing game and aTm's horrid pass defense look for Symons to light it up. TTech 41 aTm 31

"With Tech's passing game and aTm's horrid pass defense look for Symons to light it up." If A&M's defense is considered "horrid", how would you describe TT defense-"nonexistent".

Couple of stats for you A&m has played against a top 5 team and a top 20 team and gives up a average of 360 yrds a game. TT unless NCSTATE has gotten back into the top 20 has played no one in the top 20 and is still giving up 479 yards a game. You tell me who has the better defense?

jwunderdog,

just because a team is in the top 5 or top 20 doesn't mean they have a good offense but I am going to agree that TAM has the better defense.

Warning: I'm a homer, but If y'all like info here it is.

This is game #1 for Tech. If they could only win one game this year, it would be A&M.

History:

Texas Tech usually wins its home game against A&M or UT. They alternate every year. Since 1996 they are 5-2 SU in this game, usually the underdog. I figure this is because the aggies and longhorns don't care about Tech that much, but they might this year after the last two years' fiascos.

BTW this game will not end till about 1:00 AM local time.

I'm taking Texas Tech minus the points later in the week.

So it sounds like we should go against TT next week.

just commenting on Tech's defense alone here...

Tech's defense is horrendous. They will not be effective in stopping aTm's offense.

There are some major trends in Tech's favor, and I may have played them, but I'd like 'em a whole lot better if they hadn't won @ Ole Miss last week.

Some useless trends:

Tech 14-1-1 as HF 3> pts vs .375> opp
---- 6-1-1 ATS as favs vs .500 > opp

A&M 1-6 ATS in 2nd away game of season
---- 2-13 ATS away vs .500 > opp
---- 3-18 ATS as RD's vs opp off SU win
---- 4-20 ATS away as pick or dog vs .700 > opp
---- 1-9 ATS away w/ revenge

Tech's great ATS at home, but with that D, and a possible slight letdown, I ain't touchin' it.
